Just doing a check to make sure we are working. Will be leaving March 1st in the RV to do a caravan, a rally and visit a niece and see a golf tournament in Florida.
While we were at Malonjeni Guest Farm and Pienaardam Resort we were transported via a trailer with some kind of seating that was being pulled by a tractor. In Hluhluwe (pronounced Sha-shoo-we!) we were in a safari rig and stayed on the paved road. We were also in safari vehicles in Sabi Sabi, but spent much time going cross country–over bushes and trees–and got very close to the animals. The rest of the time, we were in the RV. That included our two full days at Kruger National Park. We were surprised that so many of the animals were either in the road or close to it. As a matter of fact, we had one very close encounter. As we were heading back to the RV park, a large gray animal (possibly a male nyala) dashed from the right side of the road and continued.
None of us saw it until it was airborne and landed on the hood of the RV. The animal kept running. We were left with two hoof dents on the hood and a broken left side mirror. It was pretty scary!!!
